PEMBROKE, NC (WBTW) – A yearly tradition in Pembroke, North Carolina is bringing larger crowds to the community.
On the second Saturday of November the Pembroke area Chamber of Commerce hosts a free fall festival for residents in the community.
The event started five years ago and features local businesses and talent. This year the festival had a soup cook off and more vendors join.
The chamber of commerce says this event brings the community together.
“It’s probably one of the most heartwarming things we get to do. Its hard work without a doubt as any festival is. But when you get to see this and the kids walking around with face painting, tasting their food, enjoying the community it makes it all worthwhile,” said Chamber of Commerce past president Kim Pevia.
The money raised from the festival will help support community activities that happen throughout the year.
