GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal crash in Georgetown County Monday afternoon where an 18-year-old man was killed in a single vehicle crash.
According to the SCHP traffic information website, the incident took place at 2:31 p.m. Monday at David W. Ray Drive and Haven Drive. Cpl. Sonny Collins with SCHP reports troopers responded to the scene of a single vehicle crash where the driver of the car was killed.
Georgetown County Deputy Coroner Paulette Radcliffe identifies the victim as Nathan Anberto Soto, 18. Radcliffe states Soto died as a result of multiple trauma sustained when the vehicle he was driving ran off the right side of the road, hitting several trees. Soto was not wearing a seat belt, adds Radcliffe.
The accident remains under investigation by South Carolina Highway Patrol.
