DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – The Darlington Downtown Revitalization held a kick-off breakfast to kick off its first Small Business Saturday.
The community came together at the Darlington Country Club to not only eat but become familiar with the smaller businesses in the downtown area.
Organizers handed out tote bags with maps of local businesses and information on the “Shop Darlington” promotion.
“I’m hoping that people got to meet some of their neighbors and get some ideas of different places to shop and different ideas for gifts. There is a lot of little places that have different gift items that you won’t necessarily find in a big box store,” said Director of Economic Development Lisa Chalian-Rock
This is the first year that the city of Darlington has participated in Small Business Saturday.
