LUMBERTON (WBTW) — Robeson County Sheriff’s deputies say a Pembroke man is dead after he was shot Monday morning.
It happened at a home off Union Chapel Road near Pembroke. Deputies found 41-year-old Tryon Jacobs with a gunshot wound in the yard at that address. He later died at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
The man who lives in the home said Jacobs had come and was causing a commotion, and threatened him and his wife. That’s why the man in the home shot him, according to reports.
No one has been arrested, and Robeson County deputies are still investigating.
