EFFINGHAM, SC – Florence County Deputies arrested two suspects on narcotics and weapons charges on December 9, 2015. Deputies say they saw Robert Keith Ham meeting with persons in what appeared to be drug transactions in the area of Santiago Drive in Florence. According to the press release, upon initiating a traffic stop on the vehicle, Ham was allegedly found to be in possession of approximately 9 grams of crack cocaine. In a separate, but related vehicle stop, Tylo Catrell Hunter was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, controlled substances and a handgun.
Deputies arrested Robert Keith Ham, 31, of 104 Darlington Avenue in Lamar, and charged him with Distribution of Cocaine, Distribution of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Crack Cocaine. They also arrested Tylo Catrell Hunter, 21, of 2979 Spanish Oak Drive in Florence and charged him with Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, and Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol.
Ham remains at the Florence County Detention on a $20,000.00 surety bond. Hunter was released on December 10, 2015 on a 10,000.00 surety bond. The investigation into this incident is ongoing and additional charges and/or arrests are possible.
