DILLON COUNTY, SC (WBTW) South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision on I-95 south bound in the Dillon County area.
SCHP says a van was traveling in the left-hand lane when they hit the pedestrian in the roadway at mile marker 182. The pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the van was wearing a seat belt. They were not injured and none of the eight passengers in the van were hurt either.
Traffic was backed up in the area for hours after the crash.
South Carolina Highway Patrol says they are still investigating the incident.
