SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – A man shot two other men early Thursday morning in the Surfside Beach area, according to Horry County Police.
Officers and detectives responded to a call about a shooting on Turkey Ridge Road at approximately 2:00 a.m., said Lt. Raul Dennis in a press release about the shooting. Investigators believe two men were in fight when one of them pulled out a pistol and shot the other man. The gunman also shot a third man, Dennis said.
Unidentified people were then able to hold the gunman until police arrived.
Both shooting victims were taken to a local hospital where one required surgery, but they are expected to recover from their injuries, Dennis said.
Police arrested the suspected shooter. He is in custody at the Horry County Detention Center. Attempted murder charges are expected, Dennis said.
