CONWAY, SC – Conway Police continue to investigate a reported attempted murder near El Bethel Road.
According to a police report, officers were called to the 300-block of El Bethel Road just before 8:45 p.m. on December 20.
The victim told responding officers a group of people in a light-colored car had blocked in his pickup truck. Conway Police say as the group walked towards him, they began firing guns. The victim said he managed to get out of the area by driving through a ditch onto El Bethel Road.
According to officers, witnesses reported seeing the group leave the parking lot towards Church Street. Upon further investigation, officers located shell casings at the scene.
