South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a deadly wreck in Greenville County, Thursday morning.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says that a scene started at the TD Express Mart on Highway 25.
The suspect tried to hit a deputy’s car, according to the Sheriff’s Office. After that, the suspect then led deputies on a short chase and shots were fired, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Steve Loftis says that a deputy was hit, but will be okay and should be back to work on Monday.
That car hit a motorcycle along that chase, killing the cyclist, according to the sheriff’s office.
A suspect has been arrested.
The incident happened on Highway 25 at Old Buncombe Road, troopers say.
The coroner has not released the name of the victim yet.
