SCOTLAND COUNTY, NC (WBTW) – A Laurinburg woman is behind bars after deputies say she broke into multiple properties, stole several items and sold the property at a pawn shop in Fayetteville.

Scotland County Sheriff Ralph Kersey reports Shanice Daniels, 23, of Laurinburg, was arrested Monday in connection with a home break-in that happened November 23 on Crestline Road. Daniels is charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, and possession of stolen property for the crime.

In addition, Daniels faces charges out of Cumberland County for breaking and entering, larceny and obtaining property by false pretenses. Felony warrants were served to Daniels for those crimes at the time of her arrest.

Some of the property from the Crestline Road break-in was recovered from a pawn shop in Fayetteville by detectives from the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, according to Sheriff Kersey. The property that was recovered was returned to its rightful owner.

Daniels was placed in the Scotland County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.
