On September 11, Myrtle Beach Police named Holmes as a suspect in a murder case dating back to August 10. The report documents that it appeared the victim had been shot. Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler identified the deceased man as 23-year-old Dominick Goodwin, of Myrtle Beach.
