CONWAY, SC (WBTW)- Horry County Officials say one man died Saturday morning after an early morning shooting near Highway 905.
According to Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick, the incident happened at 2:20 a.m.
Hendrick says 31-year-old Christopher Alexander Sumpter from the Loris area was taken to the Grand Strand Medical Center where he died during surgery due to multiple gun shot wounds.
Witnesses told News13 they heard gunshots in the area overnight.
