ATLANTA, GA – A Georgia woman accused of robbing six jewelry stores throughout the South, including North Carolina, is expected to appear in court Monday.

Abigail Lee Kemp, 24, of Smyrna, Georgia, was arrested on Friday along with another person just five days after an armed robbery in Mebane, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said.

Federal authorities said Kemp robbed the six stores in nine months. They said she force store employees into back rooms with a gun, tied them up with zip ties before raiding the jewelry cases.

Kemp was a former aspiring model and there are several photos of her posing on balconies of Atlanta high-rise buildings on a Facebook page for “Major Images Photography.”

Kemp also worked as a waitress in the past at Hooters and Twin Peaks Restaurant, both places that feature scantily clad waitresses, according an FBI affidavit obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In the Mebane, Kemp targeted the Jared Vault at 4000 Arrowhead Boulevard at the Tanger Outlet mall. No one was injured in the incident.

Authorities said Kemp was probably not working alone but have not released the names of accomplices.
Kemp is expected to make her first court appearance in Georgia Monday.
