GREER, SC – The Spartanburg County Coroner and Sheriff’s offices are investigating the death of a Greer High School basketball player.
They say 18-year-old Nathan Tyler Moore died Tuesday. Coroner Rusty Clevenger says that Moore’s parents said he was sick, but not expected to die. Clevenger says that Moore’s parents were getting ready to leave Tuesday morning for work and noticed that he had not gotten out of bed, they went to check on him when they found Moore dead.
The coroner’s office is conducting the autopsy on Wednesday. Moore was a senior at Greer High
Greer Athletics say that Greer fans will wear black tomorrow night for their game against Blue Ridge High School and will stay silent until the 11th point is made, which was Moore’s number.
Moore was a senior at Greer High.
