HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Police have few details on a shooting in Myrtle Beach that sent one man to the hospital Friday morning.
According to Lt. Denis with Horry County Police, a 24-year-old man was shot outside a residence on Primrose Court in Myrtle Beach just before 1 a.m. Friday. An incident report from HCP documents that a man and woman were traveling with the man’s brother, the shooting victim, to pick up another friend at a home off Primrose Court to go to a local club.
When the trio arrived at the home, the victim got out of the vehicle and began talking to a black male leaning up against a truck in the drive way. The brother of the victim went inside to get the friend, while the female sat in the car and was occupied with her phone. The victim’s brother and the brother’s girlfriend reported to police that they heard one to two gunshots and saw the victim laying in the driveway bleeding.
Neither the brother of the victim nor the girlfriend saw an altercation or where the suspected shooter went. Both witnesses also deny knowing the man who was leaning on the truck when they pulled up to the residence. The witnesses loaded the victim into the back of their vehicle and transported him to Conway Medical Center.
Police say the shooting victim is expected to recovery from his injuries. Officers have not released a suspect description, but ask anyone with information related to the shooting on Primrose Court to call police at 843-915-8477.
