DILLON, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is searching for a person involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Dillon County.
According to Cpl. Sonny Collins, a vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian just before 5 a.m. Thursday on SC 38, near the Marlboro County line. Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identifies the victim as Billy Wayne Summerford, 61, of Latta.
Troopers don’t have a description of the vehicle involved right now, and are still gathering details.
