MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)- Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue responded to a duplex approximately 11:00 Sunday morning for a reported structure fire.
Crews say upon arrival to the complex located at 403 Chester Street, units found heavy fire and smoke showing from the exterior of the building. Crews say they were able to get the fire under control within an hour.
Lt. Christian Sliker says one person died in the fire and the fire is now under investigation. Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard identified the victim as 77-year-old Grady Hoyle Queen, Jr. The coroner says he lived at that residence.
An autopsy will be conducted Monday to determine the cause of death.
