FLORENCE (WBTW) – The driver of a moped has died after a hit-and-run crash in Florence, early Saturday morning.
Florence County coroner Keith Von Lutcken says the moped driver died on scene shortly after 3:00 a.m. Saturday, after leaving work.
The crash happened on the south bound lane of S. Irby Street, just north of Southside crossing.
The driver of the moped was Brandon Lynn Creason, 21, of Florence.
An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday morning.
The crash is being investigated by the Florence Police Dept. and Florence County Coroner’s Office.
