ROBESON COUNTY (WBTW) – Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a dead body in a wooded area behind a home on a dirt road on Sunday.
According to Sheriff Ken Sealey with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, the body was found in a Maxton community home off Modest Rd.
The death investigation is currently being treated as a homicide.
Sealey says the woman was last seen Friday and was not reported missing.
Her name has not been released at this time.
