LELAND, NC (WBTW) – A live fire training in Leland Saturday morning will create road closures throughout the day. Drivers are asked to be aware and take an alternate route when possible.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, the live fire training will take place at 1562 and 1572 Village Road, which is just east of the Village and Lanvale Road intersection.
The roadway will be closed to all traffic between Lanvale Rd. and Leland School Rd. beginning at 8 a.m. The fire department anticipates a minor impedance in traffic during this exercise, but will have traffic control measures in place at Village and Leland School, Village and Lanvale, and Mt. Misery and Leland School.
The roads are expected to reopen when training is complete around 10 p.m. Saturday.
