GREENWOOD, SC – Greenwood Sheriff’s Office says a man shot another man over filing income taxes.
Police say they responded to a gunshot call at Crestmont Dr.
When they got there a they found the victim lying among a row of cypress trees along the edge of the property.
They say the man had at least two gunshots to the upper torso and one to the leg.
Deputies say a person at the scene told them Thomas Miner had shot the man and was still at the home.
While they were gathering more information, Miner came out the front door with his hands raised.
Witnesses say Miner and the victim began arguing on the front porch of the home about filing income tax.
At some point Miner began hitting the victim and victim ran toward his car.
At that point Miner began following the victim through the yard, pulled a pistol from his pocket and fired several shots, hitting him 3 times, according to the report.
Miner has been charged with attempted murder.
