MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Joey Alba with Harrelson’s Seafood Market in Murrell’s Inlet joined News13 NOW on Friday to talk about ways to prepare, open and eat oysters. Watch the video for his tips.
The advice comes just before the Surfrider Foundation’s Grand Strand chapter hosts an oyster roast and Bloody Mary mixing contest on Sunday, February 28. Details are at surfridergrandstrand.org and as follows:

Place: On The 1/2 Shell at 4500 Highway 17 Bypass South, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina 29576
Wristbands will be sold at the event, $15 for Bloody Marys only, $15 for oysters only, or $25 for both. Tickets will be sold for brews. Other food and vendor items available for cash! Otherwise the event is free.
