Man armed with knife robs Myrtle Beach store

MYRTLE BEACH (WBTW) – The Myrtle Beach Police Department is searching for a man who robbed a Myrtle Beach business Friday evening while carrying a weapon.

Police posted photos of the suspect on their Facebook page.

Officers say around 6 p.m., Friday a man walked into Royal Cleaners on North Kings Hwy carrying a knife and went behind the counter demanded employees to give him money.

Employees say he used the register key to open the drawer, stole the cash and then demanded employees to get on the ground.

The man made one of the employees give him her cell phone before leaving.

Employees describe the man to officers as around the ages of 20-25, 130-140 lbs, around 5’6”-5’7”, bald with a clean shaven face.

He was last seen wearing a black zip up hoodie, with a white emblem on the back and baggy blue jeans.
