FLORENCE, SC – The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce gears up for the 2016 Building Bridges Diversity Summit. This year’s event will feature a day-long group experience in racial and cultural diversity and competence. Among several speakers, the Summit will feature keynote speaker, Nika White, Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.

Topics of discussion will include the role of religion in the workplace, racial and cultural sensitivity issues and women in the workplace. In addition, White will talk about the economic impact of diversity and inclusion on the business community across the state of South Carolina.

The Chamber’s Building Bridges program serves as the premier diversity and inclusion program in the Pee Dee region and this year’s format will allow for more in-depth discussions focused in a one-day event, rather than a multi-week program as in years’ past.

The Building Bridges Diversity Summit will take place on Monday, March 21st from 11 am-5 pm at the Floyd Conference Center on the campus of Carolinas Hospital.
