GEORGETOWN COUNTY (WBTW) – Police are investigating an armed robbery Saturday after two people robbed a Subway in Murrells Inlet.
Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Subway off Hwy 17 bypass around 6:00 p.m. Deputies say two suspects wearing Halloween masks and black clothes walked in armed with bats. The two suspects attempted to steal money as employees ran out of the back of the restaurant and called 911.
Police say witnesses saw the suspects get away in a small tan 4-door sedan.
The case is still under investigation by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
