LAURINBURG, NC (WBTW) – Two people found dead inside a Scotland County home over the weekend have been identified.
According to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Robert Earl Jacobs, 45, and Susan Lineman Heartsell, 46, died of smoke inhalation.
The pair were found inside a home located on Blakely Road around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation with the State Bureau of Investigation and the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, the Facebook release said.
