The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was killed Wednesday in Horry County.
Lance Corporal Judd Jones says it happened around 6:30pm on Ocala Lane outside Loris.
Jones says the driver of a Chevy Tahoe backed out of a private drive onto Ocala and hit a person standing in the roadway.
The name of the person killed is not officially released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
