HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County officials say a North Myrtle Beach man died Friday evening after his vehicle ran off the road.
According to Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler, 71-year-old Thomas Kelley was killed when his vehicle ran off of Highway 22 around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the fatal crash. Troopers reported the crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of SC-22 near mile marker 26, as posted online by SCHP.
Fowler says Kelley died of mass trauma and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate this accident.
