Voters in the City of Darlington cast votes Tuesday in a special election for a vacant seat on city council.
Unofficial results show Elaine Reed got 254 votes to Valarie Boston’s 98.
The special election was for the council seat held by Gloria Cheeseboro Hines, who was elected mayor of Darlington.
