MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – One person has been hospitalized after a shooting on Shetland Drive in Myrtle Beach Tuesday evening.
Horry County Police have a home off Shetland Drive cornered off with crime scene tape and officers are still on scene speaking with potential witnesses. Sgt. Thomas DelPercio says the shooting happened when an argument broke out during a civil serving process.
Sgt. DelPercio says civilians can also serve paperwork and no officers were involved.
The victim’s wounds are not life-threatening, says Sgt. DelPercio. The victim was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Police have taken at least one person into custody in connection with the shooting, but that person’s name has bot been released. Officers recovered several guns from the scene, adds Sgt. DelPercio.
