MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – It’s a topic few like to discuss, but one we all need to address: end of life healthcare planning. Lucy Richards, RN with Grand Strand Health, was on News13 Now Thursday to talk about a local event promoting awareness for the topic. Richards says National Healthcare Decisions Day is April 16, and so to encourage people to start the conversation, Grand Strand Health is sponsoring ‘Ask a Case Manager,’ Friday, April 15. At the event, registered nurses will be available to answer any questions about advanced healthcare directives such as a healthcare power of attorney or a living will.
