MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Myrtle Beach International Film Festival is back for the 11th year.

You still have a chance to catch several of the movies that are showing at Broadway at the Beach’s Carmike Cinemas.

Making its world preimere at the festival is “Live Another Day.”

It tells the inside story of who really rescued struggling auto manufacturers in the 2008-10 financial crisis and bailout.

“This is not just any industry, it’s an iconic American industry we all participate in, we all remember our first car, its very important we all know what happened in these years, in these car companies,” said filmmaker Didier Pietri.

Pietri says the story resonates as loudly in 2016 as it did during the early days of the great recession.

‘If you look at the situation right now, the car companies sometimes are in the same situation they were in 2000-2008 and it’s a good thing to know what really happened so in case there’s another bailout or a big crisis we learn all from it.”

The Myrtle Beach Film Festival runs from April 20th to 23rd.

“Llive Another Day” premieres Sunday at 5pm.
