MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Myrtle Beach Police Department arrested two people in connection with a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.
According to a police report, officers were called to the 5700 block of Porcher Drive around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday for a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a 37-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was in and out of consciousness before the ambulance took him to a local hospital for treatment, the report said.
Police arrested 23-year-old Dillan Parker Drye and 33-year-old Morgan Dean-Morley in connection to the shooting. Drye and Dean-Morley face an assault and attempted murder charge.
Jane Kennedy lives near Porcher Drive and says it’s usually a quiet neighborhood, but she still isn’t surprised.
“We see and hear it on the news and it becomes too often even in the nice, quiet neighborhoods, it’s happening,” said Kennedy.
According to the police report, officers are also looking for a stolen 2013 Lexis, Ct 200 with South Carolina tags LYS364 in connection with the shooting.
