CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – A Conway man has been jailed after agents with South Carolina Law Enforcement Division say he sold a stolen backhoe tractor.
A press release from SLED says 53-year-old Kipley Dale Vick is charged with receiving, possessing, concealing, selling or disposing of a stolen vehicle, value $10,000 or more. The charge is a felony that could put Vick in jail for up to 10 years if convicted.
The arrest warrant for Vick states he sold the stolen backhoe, a 2007 Caterpillar 420E, on Wednesday in Conway. A SLED confidential informant agreed to purchase the backhoe, valued at $50,000, and Vick delivered the stolen tractor to D&L Site Works, located at 6001 Cates Bay Highway, according to the warrant.
Vick was booked into J. Reuben Long Wednesday at 6:38 p.m. and was released Friday at 11:37 a.m. on a $15,000 bond.
