FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – The wife of a Tennessee youth minister was arrested and faces several charges after she allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old she met at church.
Ariel Stevenson, 25, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and statutory rape.
Franklin police began an investigation in May after details of the relationship were reported. The case was presented to a Williamson County Grand Jury which chose to indict her on Sept. 14.
Stevenson surrendered to authorities on Friday. On that same day, she posted a $20,000 bond and was released.
Stevenson is the wife of the youth minister at the church where she met the victim, according to police. She is due in court Oct. 15 at 9 a.m.
