ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WBTW) – The two bodies discovered inside the remnants of a burnt home in Robeson County have been identified, according to officials.
Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a structure fire September 24 at 12:47 a.m. Deputies say a passing motorist saw the fire and called 911. When crews arrived at the home, located at 1094 Lewis McNeill Road in Red Springs, flames could be seen shooting out of the mobile home. People were reportedly still in the house when fire crews arrived.
Once the fire was extinguished, the bodies of Charles Daniel Sampson, 35, and Rhonda Jacobs Anderson, 50, both of Red Springs, NC, were found deceased inside.
The cause of the fire and the deaths are under investigation. Deputies say no further details can be released at this time.
