Sheriff: Arrest made after deputies discover 25 meth lab pots

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – While executing a search warrant in Hartsville, the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office arrested one person after discovering meth lab components within the house.

According to Sheriff Wayne Byrd, the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at 820 Green Pastures Drive in Hartsville Thursday afternoon. Deputies say while they were in the home, they discovered approximately 25 individual meth lab pots.

SLED was called to the scene as well as Darlington County Fire District to assist, adds Sheriff Byrd.

William David Cagle, 52, of Hartsville, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and three counts of distribution of methamphetamine.

Sheriff Byrd adds that this is an ongoing investigation and additional arrests and charges are forthcoming.
