LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (WBTW)- People in the Bay Street neighborhood off of Route 9 in Little River saw some pretty heavy flooding overnight. Many of those who tried to leave to go get groceries, weren’t able to make it back in with their cars.
Some had to walk back in while others who tried to make it through had to be towed. Peter Tran, a resident of Bay Tree for more than five years, told News 13 this is some of the highest water he has ever seen in his neighborhood.

Bay Tree wasn’t the only area to see problems. Horry County Fire Rescue said they were receiving the most calls from Little River residents so they set up their command center there.
The command center will be open all weekend but could be moved depending on where the greatest needs are if the weather gets worse.
