A man charged with robbing a Conway-area convenience store was found guilty Tuesday, despite failing to show for court.
Police say the armed robbery happened at a Scotchman convenience store, located on the corner of US-501 and 4 Mile Road on January 2. Rasheed Glover, 20, of Conway, was charged with armed robbery in connection.
He was tried in his absence Tuesday in General Sessions Court before The Honorable R. Ferrell Cothran, Jr. The 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office says prior to his trial, Glover cut off his GPS ankle monitor and failed to show for court.
Officials say his sentence will remain sealed until he is located and arrested.
Officials say two others charged in the same case – Amantree Hakeem Ellerbe and Ikeem Coles – also pled guilty to armed robbery in court Tuesday. The 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office says Ellerbe was sentenced to 15 years in jail, while Coles received a 10 year sentence.
