GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – Georgetown County Schools has announced one make-up day for students and proposed two more days to act as make-up time after students missed several days due to devastating floods.
According to Public Information Officer Ray White, Friday, October 23, will be a make-up day for Georgetown County School District. GCSD will operate on a half-day schedule that day for students, and for staff it will be a flex schedule after student dismissal.
Other inclement weather days listed on the board-approved school calendar for 2015-2016 are January 15, 2016 and March 25, 2016, adds White. The calendar committee will meet next week to review and confirm these make-up days. Parents and staff will be informed of the final decision in late October.
