DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – More than half of the roads that were closed due to the flooding in our area have reopened.
However, not all have one road just north of Darlington is still in pretty bad shape. There is still a roughly 30 foot gap on Law Plantation Road in Darlington.
Law Plantation Road in Darlington has been out of commission for the past 13 days.
Last week’s heavy rainfalls created a split in the road with flood waters running through the middle.
According to Darlington Maintenance, there’s no definite reason why it crumbled but that the influx of water and the water drain being there didn’t help.
On Monday, contractors will start repairs and officials expect it will be another two or three weeks until the road is back open.
