143 years ago today, a German miner found what’s considered the largest-ever gold nugget.

In today’s gold prices, the “nugget” is worth $18.3 million!

The biggest one-day percentage drop in Dow Jones history happened 28 years ago today.

The Norwegian band “a-ha” had eight number-one hits in Norway but only one top-10 hit in the U.S.
That one hit was a big one, however. “Take On Me” hit the top of the Billboard chart 30 years ago today.
