CONWAY (WBTW/Press Release) — A team of Horry County firefighters will once again compete in the World Firefighter Combat Challenge this year.
The event will be in Montgomery, Alabama October 19-24.
According to a press release, a total of 100 relay teams are competing this week for a place in the 64 team finals bracket on Saturday. Team Horry has already secured their place in the finals and will compete for seeding throughout the week. The event can be watched via live stream at live.xalive.co/sfcc.html with live coverage via ESPN3 on Friday and Saturday.
The team is made up of the following members: Team Leader Captain Michael Medeiros, Captain David Howell, Lieutenant Kenneth Norton, Firefighter Michael Mabe, and Firefighter Paramedic Josh McCarthy.
