Have you Heard, it’s Halloween week and today (10/27) is “Black Cat Day.”
One statistic shows, probably due to superstition, it takes a black cat 13% longer to get adopted than a cat of another color.

This is totally a coincidence, but today also marks the 25th anniversary of Janet Jackson hitting number-one on the U.S. pop charts with “Black Cat.”
It was the fourth of Jackson’s ten number-one hits

135 years ago today, T.R. married Alice Lee.
Alice died about 3 1/2 years later, just two days after giving birth of their first child. Alice had a kidney disease that was masked by her pregnancy.
That same day, Valentine’s Day 1884, was T.R.’s worst-ever day, as his mother died of typhoid fever, just hours before his wife. They both died in the same home.
Theodore re-married in 1886 and 15 years later, became the nation’s youngest-ever president.
Roosevelt died when he was only 60.

Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe divorced 61 years ago today. They were married less than a year.
