FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence man was killed Friday night after he was hit by an SUV on West Darlington Street.
Major Raines with Florence Police says four people were inside an SUV that struck a pedestrian around 7:25 p.m. Friday. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he later died, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken.
The victim is identified as 65-year-old Roosevelt Clavon, of Florence, confirms Coroner Keith von Lutcken.
The incident is under investigation by the Florence Police Department and Florence County Coroner’s Office. No charges have been filed at the time of this report.
