KINGSTREE, SC (WBTW) – Williamsburg County officials are opening emergency shelters for people to use in anticipation of heavy rains and possible flooding this weekend.
According to a press release from Williamsburg County Emergency Management, shelters will be opening at the following locations:
The Williamsburg County Recovery Center located at 2084 Thurgood Marshall Highway, Kingstree.
Chavis One – Stop Complex 2118 South State Highway 41/51, Hemingway.
The shelters will open on Sunday November 8th at 5:00 pm for all citizens needing to evacuate.
Citizens need to bring their own bedding, medications, and personal hygiene items due to limited supplies.
