COLUMBIA, SC (WBTW) Police in Columbia are mourning the loss of an officer who died in the line of duty Saturday night.
Officials say 37 year old Stacy Case died from injuries sustained in a crash while responding to a service call
A University of South Carolina Police Department vehicle was also involved in the crash.
Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin responded the the officer’s death on Twitter saying: Our hearts are heavy with the @ColumbiaPDSC tonight on the loss of one of our fallen heroes. #Prayers
