MULLINS, SC (WBTW) – Victims of last week’s flash flooding in Mullins likely won’t qualify for assistance from FEMA, an official from the South Carolina Emergency Management Division said.
Officials from the state and local level surveyed the damage Monday.
A state official said the area must have 100 insured homes destroyed or deemed unlivable to qualify for FEMA assistance. Surveyors didn’t expect last week’s damage to meet that threshold.
People may qualify for low interest loans from the Small Business Administration, according to SCEMD.
