BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Marlboro County.
According the L/Cpl Hanna Wemberly, the incident happened around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday on US 15-401 in Tatum near the Sanders Auto Auction.
The driver ran his Jeep Cherokee off the road, over-corrected and drove across the road into a ditch. The man was thrown from the SUV and died, Wemberly said.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
The coroner has not released the victim’s ID as of this posting.
