NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) The holiday season kicks off this weekend at Barefoot Landing at “The Lighting of the Landing”.
The event begins Saturday November 21 at 6 p.m. in the Lakeview Courtyard near the carousel.
There will be holiday music performed by local groups and individuals, including a handbell choir from First Presbyterian Church and Shelley Sasser of Dino Capone’s School of Rock.
A 22 foot tall Christmas tree will be illuminated following the performances
In addition to the entertainment and tree lighting, there will be kids’ activities, a petting zoo and more.
A fireworks spectacular will take place over the lake at 7:00 p.m., and stores will remain open until 8:00 p.m. for holiday shopping.
Barefoot Landing will also be a drop off location for Toys for Tots.
You can contribute to The United States Marine Corps Annual Toys for Tots program by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy to any of the following locations at Barefoot Landing: (All toys collected here go to less fortunate children in Horry and Georgetown Counties.)
